Advanta ZAdvantra-Z is made from the extract of citrus aurantium, also known as the Chinese herb bitter orange Thermo Fire uses Advantra-Z because it has shown many positive weight loss properties.

Bacopa Monnieri is a perennial creeping herb which is common to marshy areas throughout China, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The ability to grow in water makes Bacopa Monnieri a popular aquarium plant, especially since it can grow even in brackish conditions. The leaves of Bacopa Monnieri are succulent and the flowers are small, white and 4-5 petalled. Bacopa Monnieri has long being used in the ancient form of medicine Aurveda. It is a traditional treatment for asthma and epilepsy and also has antioxidant and antianxiety properties. This plant is also listed as a nootropic, a drug that enhances cognition. Studies have revealed that Bacopa Monnieri may improve memory, motor learning ability etc. Bacopa Monnieri is also used for culinary purposes in Vietnamese cuisine and is part of several dishes along with rice, fish and mushrooms.

Bioperine, a standardized extract from the fruit of Piper nigrum L (black pepper) or Piper longum L (long pepper). It contains 95 percent of piperine. Bioperine is used in conjunction with other herbs or vitamins to increase their absorption and digestion to make them more effective.

Cellulose is the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Cellulose is not digestible by humans and is often referred to as 'dietary fiber' or 'roughage', acting as a hydrophilic bulking agent for feces.

Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which is also known under the name epigallocatechin 3-gallate, is the ester of catechin, gallic acid and epigallocatechin. It is found in tea and is believed to be one of the most important antioxidants today. Epigallocatechin 3-gallate is currently investigated for the inhibitory effects on the life cycle of HIV-1 virus, the human immunodeficiency virus type 1, which causes AIDS. Although EGCG has shown significant benefits in laboratory studies, the clinical trials on humans have not been conducted yet. The antioxidant qualities of EGCG and the associated reduction of free radicals have made epigallocatechin 3-gallate a very popular supplement, especially with the body building and athletic communities. It is furthermore suggested that EGCG has therapeutic potential with several forms of cancer and in setting of liver fibrosis.

Evodia Rutaecarpa contains the extracts of the plant Tetradium, which is a genus in the family Rutaceae, also known as the Bee bee tree, or Evodia. This extracts contain a chemical which is called evodiamine, which seems to influence the uncoupling protein 1, also called thermogenin, which is involved in the process allowing energy to be burned as heat. Evodiamine is actually a bioactive alkaloid, used by the traditional Chinese medicine for ages under the name Wu Chu Yu in connection with weight control and fat burning solutions for overweight to obese people. Evodiamine seems to interact with vanilloids, with the effect that the uptake of fat is lowered, but at the same time the fat burning rate is increased, resulting in actual weight loss.

Evodiamine has been used in Chinese medicine and by Chinese herbalists for centuries for weight loss purposes. It is an extract from a plant, Evodia or Tetradium, actually a tree genus of the family Rutaceae. The bee bee tree, as it is called besides Euodia and Evodia, provide a bioactive alkaloid that the Chinese have nicknamed Wu-Chu-Yu. This extract not only can interact with UCP1, a thermogenic protein, which as a consequence burns energy as heat, but also has shown in studies on mice to reduce the fat uptake. Evodiamine seems to increase the resting temperature of humans, whereby increased fat and calories are burned in order to supply the heat. Deemed a breakthrough in thermogenesis, evodiamine is subject of several clinical studies.
